INSTALLATION & FITTING:
The Jarvis Compensator for the Beretta M9, 92, and 96 series pistols is threaded with a .575-40 standard compensator thread. The compensator was originally designed with the purpose of preventing the customer from being forced to purchase a threaded barrel in order to attach a comp. To install the compensator, we simply thread the portion of your factory 4.9″ barrel that extends past the slide. Once your factory barrel is threaded, we then remove material from the rear surface of the compensator until it references correctly with the slide and has no more than a .004″ gap between the compensator and slide. This is done to create an aesthetically pleasing appearance and also ensures that the slide is not making contact with the rear surface of the comp when the pistol goes into battery. Installation and fitting requires your slide and factory barrel to be sent in.

The new Beretta M9A3 ships with a 1/2-28 threaded factory barrel. Due to the compensator being threaded .575-40, it will not attach to the factory threaded barrel. The Compensator Kit is currently required for the M9A3. The Compensator Kit includes a Jarvis match grade barrel that is threaded .575-40, compensator, steel guide rod and light weight recoil spring. Fitting is included at no charge with the Compensator Kit.
This compensator must be used with the reduced power recoil spring provided with the compensator.
